Mayor Gary Christenson and Senior Center Coordinator Mikeneil Paul recently wished longtime North Shore Haitian Adult Day Health participant Anilia Joseph a very happy 103rd birthday! A festive celebration was held that included refreshments and lots of dancing.
Born on March 20, 1920 in Criox des Bouquet, Haiti, Anilia moved to the United States in 1987 to be closer to family. She is the proud mother of eight children and fifteen grandchildren. Anilia very much enjoys spending time with family and friends.
When the Mayor asked Anilia what her secret was for to living such a long and healthy life, she responded that “always being a good person” has been her key to longevity.
