Please join the Malden community as we remember and honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation’s freedom at a series of events that will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th.
For the first time in two years, the Memorial Day Parade will kick off at 10 AM City Hall on Pleasant Street and will proceed onto Florence Street turning left on Main Street, right onto Forest Street and into Forest Dale Cemetery. There will be a short ceremony at Forest Dale Cemetery, then the parade will resume heading onto Pierce Street, turning right onto Salem Street, left onto Main Street, right onto Pleasant and will end at City Hall Plaza.
This Year’s Grand Marshal will be Emery Haskell U.S. Navy Commander Ret., graduate of Malden High School Class of 1972 and current Malden Fire Department Commissioner.
Any person or group who would like to march or volunteer in the Memorial Day Parade should contact Kevin Jarvis at 781-397-7139 or email kjarvis@cityofmalden.org.
