During a ceremony on May 13th, the entrance to Malden Police Headquarters was named "Aldo's Way" in honor of Officer Allan "Aldo" Ray. Officer Ray passed away in 2014 from injuries he sustained in 2012 during a struggle with a subject who resisted arrest. Officer Ray had served with the Malden PD for 34 years at the time of his death and was a well respected member of our department. The ceremony was attended by Officer Ray's family, fellow officers, and members of the command staff. Officer Ray's name is being added this year to the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial in Washington DC. For more information on Officer Ray or other Malden PD officers who made the ultimate sacrifice, please visit our memorial page.
