Malden Parks and Open Spaces

The City of Malden will begin a phased reopening of our parks and open spaces. The goal is to provide a place for residents to get fresh air and exercise while protecting public health and preventing a resurgence of COVID-19.

Effective Monday, May 25th, the parks and open spaces listed in this notice will be opened for passive recreation so that we continue to limit those activities that encourage groups to gather and that make social distancing difficult to observe.

Governor Announces 4-Phased Reopening Plan for Massachusetts

As of Monday, May 18th Governor Baker issued a 4-phased plan for the reopening of businesses, houses of worship, government and other organizations. The City of Malden will be closely following these orders and guidelines for our re-opening.

Cambridge Health Alliance Launches COVID-19 Testing at Malden Care Center

Cambridge Health Alliance today announced that, beginning Wed., 4/29/20, COVID-19 testing will be available to existing patients and members of the community via a stand-alone testing center at the CHA Malden Care Center (195 Canal Street, Malden)

Everett and Malden residents 8 years of age and older are welcome, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Individuals MUST CALL to set up an appointment using a new hotline number at 617-665-2928.

Baker-Polito Administration Extends Non-Essential Business Closures to May 18th, Announces Reopening

Today, the Baker-Polito Administration extended the essential services emergency order to May 18th and launched a Reopening Advisory Board that will produce a plan to the Governor by May 18th.

The Administration also announced that the Department of Public Health’s Stay At Home Advisory remains in effect and gatherings of 10 or more people remain prohibited until May 18th.
