Due to the pandemic the City of Malden will not be holding our regularly scheduled New Hire Orientations for new employees.
The City of Malden offers a variety of benefits to its employees, including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending and Deferred Compensation benefits. Eligible new employees (full-time and permanent part-time employees whose regular schedule is twenty or more hours per week) have 30 days to enroll in benefits for you and your dependents. Failure to submit your election within the 30 day deadline will result in exclusion from medical insurance and any voluntary benefits offered by the City, unless you have a qualifying change of life event. Otherwise, you will have to wait for the Open Enrollment period (mid-April through mid-May) for the next Fiscal Year, effective July 1st.
