Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a global non-profit housing organization that works in partnership with volunteers to build homes for people in need. Habitat for Humanity shares many of the values that we at the Malden Teen Enrichment Center hold in high regard, so it was a great experience to be able to work with them on two separate occasions. Not only were our teens able to do valuable work helping families in their own community but they also learned some basic carpentry skills such as using tools, taking measurements, and securing support beams. During our two experiences working with Habitat, our teens were able to see the progression from the start of a project to what the very same project looked like at its completion, this was a very rewarding experience for all involved.
