Firearms Licensing

Firearms Licensing Update 11/23/2020

*Due to the current surge in Covid-19 cases and our reduced staffing levels here at the Malden PD, we are temporarily suspending the processing of firearms licensing applications.  Any current LTC holder who is set to expire between now and the end of the year can still drop off their application at the police station but should request a receipt that shows the date of submittal.  Please do not mail in or drop off any NEW applications until at least January 1, 2021.  Applicants are advised to monitor this website for updates.

Firearms licensing falls under the Administration and Operations Division of the police department.  Lieutenant Ryan Fortier oversees all aspects of firearms licensing from the application process to granting or denying licenses and suspending or revoking current licenses when necessary.
