As Clerk to the City Council, the office develops and distributes the Council agenda, keeps minutes of the meetings, provides notification of Council actions to affected parties and issues licenses on its behalf. As the City's chief election officer, the City Clerk is responsible for all aspects of voter registration, absentee voting and election administration for all elections and serves as the Campaign Finance Officer for local elections. As licensing agent for the City, the office issues a variety of licenses and permits such as marriage licenses, auctioneer permits and raffle and bazaar permits.
