City of Malden Fire PatchSince April 10, 1839, the Malden Fire Department has protected the lives and property of Malden’s residents, businesses and visitors to the City from fire and other emergencies. The members of the Malden Fire Department stand ready 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, to quickly and efficiently combat fire whenever and wherever it may occur and to professionally mitigate all other emergency incidents to which they respond.

A main goal of the Department is to prevent fires from occurring and to prevent related hazardous conditions from endangering the public. Public safety is advanced through community education and initiatives on fire prevention, fire code regulatory inspections and code and regulation enforcement.
