Malden Superintendent of Schools John Oteri is pleased to report that Malden High School has signed an agreement with Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., Merit Apprenticeship Program, to offer pre-apprentice and leadership training. Training for high school graduates will include 75 hours of general construction, OSHA 10, and hoisting training, followed by placement in a job. Classes will be held later this month in the Maker Space at Malden High School in the late afternoon and evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. An additional class will be held on Wednesday evenings for Malden High School seniors beginning in June where students will receive training in OSHA-10 and Construction Math, with the opportunity to move into the full pre-apprentice program.
