But their plans are derailed when Fonny is arrested for a crime he did not commit. Now the pair and their families must fight for justice in the name of love and the promise of the American dream.”

The Washington Post writes that “Jenkins has made an absolutely gorgeous movie.”  Rolling Stone calls it “of the moment and timeless all at once.”  Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 95% approval rating.  This film is free and open to the public and is accessible.  Movie times are approximate.  Please call the Malden Public Library at 781-324-0218 for more information.  Rated R (119 min.)
