Dear Malden Residents,
I would like to wish the entire Malden community a happy holiday season and a healthy and prosperous New Year! This time of year is a time of reflection, counting our blessings and looking forward to the upcoming year with optimism and enthusiasm. I am honored to serve as your Mayor and I am grateful to all of you for your assistance and support in improving our city.
I also want to use this opportunity to say that it is a privilege to serve alongside the City Council and to work with the dedicated employees that make up our City staff. I want to thank each of them and all our departments for striving to provide our residents with the best services possible. Their commitment is why Malden is such a great place to live and work.
The same can be said of the many volunteers, community groups and organizations who work tirelessly throughout the year to enrich the lives of others. During this season of giving, we should remember to lend a hand and assist them in reaching out to those in need. Finally, and most important, thank you to our Veterans and to the members of our armed forces, many of whom will spend this time of year apart from their families so that our country remains protected.
Again, I look forward to the New Year and our continued work together. In the words of Helen Keller, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” It is the contributions of all of us that will continue to make our City the best it can be. Happy Holidays!
Mayor, City of Malden
