Grand Opening Ceremony of Black Label Barbershop

Tuesday, October 2, 2018

Mayor Gary Christenson attended the Grand Opening Ceremony of Black Label Barbershop, located at 20 Irving Street. Owner Long Lam began his career early by cutting the hair of the Everett High Football Team in his parents’ basement. He then pursued a barbering career and opened his first shop, Long’s Barber Shop in 2004 in Everett. The new Malden location recaptures the essence of a traditional barbershop feel and offers clients an elevated customer experience in a comfortable and convenient location. Lam refashioned the space with custom-made barber stations, clientele seating area, wood floors and a new restroom.

Located in the heart of Malden, Black Label Barbershop is a young, hip and exciting business. With a neighborhood barbershop vibe, it features cuts and shaves along with modern amenities like online booking, men’s grooming products as well as plenty of parking and quick access to the MBTA. A welcome addition to their staff is Boston stylist Jack Abbott who focuses in color correction and specializes in blonde coloring and craft hairdressing. Black Label Barbershop is particularly proud to provide a personalized and tailored experience in a familiar and laidback atmosphere.
